6th ODA conference 24-25 August 2010 The Novotel St Kilda Upper Esplanade, St Kilda, Victoria
How to Connect, Share and Grow With Other Leading Professionals…
Learn all about this at our mid-winter retreat by the seaside in St Kilda. Our 6th annual conference will be a rich, stimulating two days with many opportunities to ‘Connect Share Grow’.
Why come along? To explore the answers to these burning questions…
How do we make our way in an increasingly complex, chaotic and often collapsing world, with seemingly one crisis after another? How can complexity thinking help us? Join our key note speaker, Dr Mike Faris, consultant and academic, who will lead us through an exploration of how complexity thinking can help us prepare for and navigate the many tensions and uncertainties that inevitably will arise for us and those we work with. Mike, is particularly known for his many years of leading the Innovation and Service Management program as well as his deep involvement in socio-analysis through organisations such as Group Relations Australia.

How can we harness the power of passion for effective and sustainable change in organisations? Peter Wallman, Passion Maps. Passions are potent forces. This session is about how can we harness and channel passion to bring about the changes we seek. How do I make sense of the multiple stories that can emerge in a team, a department, an organisation? Shawn Callahan from Anecdote will help us learn how to make the most of stories, especially after you get them told. Both sessions are part of our Toolshed series, with one more to come. |
How do I make sense of accountability? It’s a key mechanism in organisational life. What are the mechanics of accountability? How do I define accountability? And what about authority? Join Dr Mike Faris, Heather Crosbie, Director RMIT Publishing and a host of others in conversation for our always riveting panel discussion |
How do you help people learn at work? How do you build agile and resilient learners? Carmel Kostos, General Manager, People and Organisation Development, Victoria University and Partner, Next Talent Development, will get us putting our brains to work in a fun and stimulating way. We’ll deepen our own learning from the conference. We’ll take away an experience we can apply in our own practice to improve how we work with others to accelerate learning. |

Join Dr Jinette de Gooijer & Rob Cairns from Group Relations Australia. • The Business Transformation Simulation. The 'How To' workshop for producing high levels of employee motivation, cooperation, innovation, along with improved organisational performance.
